Newport, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Minnesota motorcyclist was killed after crashing at a Twin Cities interchange Friday evening.

The State Patrol responded to the crash shortly before 6 p.m. It happened at the Hwy. 61/I-494 interchange in the southeastern metro town of Newport.

The state crash report indicates the motorcycle was northbound on Hwy. 61, took the exit ramp to I-494 then went off the roadway and entered the ditch. The operator is described as a 49-year-old Woodbury man.

His name has not been released. He was the sole person involved in the deadly crash
