
Olmsted County Motorcycle Crash Sends Rochester Man to Hospital
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A crash in Olmsted County sent a motorcyclist to the hospital earlier this week.

Olmsted County Sheriff’s Captain Tim Parkin said Friday morning that deputies responded to the crash Wednesday evening. A motorist reported seeing a motorcycle traveling behind their vehicle lose control and crash into the ditch.
Deputies who responded to the crash along 75th St. Northwest in New Haven Township reported seeing blood coming from the motorcycle operator’s ears. He is described as a 30-year-old man from Rochester.
Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service transported the motorcyclist to St. Mary’s Hospital. Parkin said the extent of the man’s injuries are unknown, however he was reported to be alert and speaking with medical personnel.
Parkin said the motorcycle appeared to have lost control after it drove over gravel on the road. It was estimated to have been traveling at 55 mph at the time of the crash.
The man was wearing eye protection but not wearing a helmet, Parkin said.
