Minnesota Woman Admits to Human Trafficking Charge
(Stillwater, MN) -- (Learfield Wire Services/TTWN Media Networks) - A federal plea agreement means a Woodbury woman will spend a year in prison, then be deported to her native China for the violent abuse of an employee in her home.
Thirty-seven-year-old Lili Huang apologized for beating and starving the 58-year-old woman who worked as a maid. The victim's name wasn't released.
The abuse came to light after Huang threatened the woman with a knife for spilling food last summer. She escaped from the home and was found wandering on a street by police.
Formal sentenced for Huang will be conducted August 24th.
