
Body of Missing Minnesota Woman Recovered from River

Duluth, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities are reporting a sad ending to a missing person case involving a Minnesota woman.

She was reported missing on Saturday. The Duluth Police Department says rescue squad members pulled her body from the water on Tuesday.

Body of Missing Minnesota Woman Recovered in St. Louis River in Duluth, MN
61-year-old Sherri Lee Monroe was reported missing by Duluth police on Sunday evening.
A post on X that asked for the public’s help with locating her said she was last seen around 10:30 Saturday night in the Rices Point area along the St. Louis River.
The St. Louis County Rescue Squad announced recovering her body in the area of her disappearance shortly after 8:15 Tuesday evening.
“Sherri Monroe has been found and brought home. Our prayers and thoughts are with Sherri's family as they navigate the difficult days ahead,” a post announcing the body recovery on the rescue squad’s Facebook page says.
Duluth police say no foul play is suspected in her death. They’re also extending their condolences to Monroe’s friends and family.
