CLOQUET, Minn. (AP) — Two people who made careers out of saving others have died in a head-on crash in Carlton County.

The collision happened Thursday night in Cloquet.

The Minnesota State Patrol said 54-year-old Fay Dahlman of Alborn and 49-year-old Mark Laine of Saginaw both died in the crash. Investigators say Laine crossed the center line on Highway 33 and collided with Dahlman's sport utility vehicle.

Dahlman was a nurse at Community Memorial Hospital in Cloquet for 12 years. She was on her way to work.
