Undated (KROC-AM News)- The State Patrol responded to at least two injury crashes on a pair of southern Minnesota freeways over the weekend.

The first injury crash happened around 12:45 Sunday afternoon in Winona County. Emergency responders were dispatched to a stretch of I-90 in Dresbach where a pick-up and mini-van collided in the eastbound lanes. 

The state crash report identifies the mini-van driver as 91-year-old Robert Michael Kies of La Crescent. He was not hurt, however, his passenger, 84-year-old Kay Ann Kies of La Crescent, was taken to a hospital in nearby La Crosse for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the pick-up, 32-year-old Ross Arlen Horstman of Winona was not hurt. The State Patrol says everyone involved in the crash was buckled up and that alcohol was not involved. 

Less than five hours later, troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on I-35 in Rice County. The crash investigation indicates a semi-truck and pick-up truck collided in the southbound lanes north of Faribault.

The state crash report identifies the pick-up driver as 18-year-old Grady Lorenz Hoffman of Waseca. He and his passenger, 16-year-old Hunter Mason Harty of Waseca, were taken to an area hospital with what are described as non-life-threatening injuries.

The truck driver, identified as 62-year-old Vyacheslav Ivanovich Oliy of Vancouver, WA was not hurt. Everyone involved in that crash was buckled up and alcohol was not a factor, the report says.
