MNsure CEO Is Leaving

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — MNsure says its chief executive is resigning.

Scott Leitz will announce his departure to the exchange's board of directors Monday afternoon. Leitz plans to join a health care think tank after nearly 18 months at the helm of MNsure.

MNsure spokeswoman Jenni Bowring-McDonough confirmed his plans to resign after it was first reported by The Associated Press. McDonough says the board will meet in a closed session to name an interim replacement.

Leitz took over in 2013 after MNsure's first executive director resigned amid a troubled rollout and controversy over a tropical vacation. His departure means the exchange will have its third leader in less than two years as lawmakers debate its future.
