More Storms Forecast Today

Another round of strong storms is possible today.

The National Weather Service says there's a slight risk of severe storms later today as a mass of moist and unstable air continues to impact the region. Storms that could bring heavy rain, damaging winds, and hail are possible this afternoon.

A flash flood watch remains in effect for the entire southeast corner of Minnesota until 1 a.m. Tuesday.

A flash flood warning was posted overnight as a series of fast moving storms moved across southern Minnesota. The rainfall totals ranged from over 2 inches near Byron and Mantorville to around a half-inch in Fillmore County.  Close to an inch was reported at the Rochester Airport, while just over 6-tenths of an inch fell on the Mayo One helipad on top of St. Marys Hospital.

So far, there have not been any reports of significant flooding.
