
Crash at Rochester Interchange Sends Blooming Prairie Motorcyclist to St. Mary’s Hospital
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A motorcyclist was injured in a crash at a Rochester interchange on Monday.

That’s according to Rochester Police Department Captain Aaron Penning. Officers responded to the crash shortly after noon.

Blooming Prairie Motorcyclist Taken to Hospital After Crash at Hwy. 52 Interchange in Rochester
The collision occurred at the Hwy. 52 and 19th St. NW/Elton Hills Dr. interchange in northwest Rochester.
Police say the motorcycle operator was thrown from the motorcycle after colliding with a car as both were entering the onramp to northbound Hwy. 52.

Penning describes the motorcyclist as a 32-year-old man from Blooming Prairie. He was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
Failure to Yield Suspected
Penning says the preliminary investigation indicates the motorcyclist failed to yield to oncoming traffic.
The name of the motorcycle driver has not been released.
