Multi-Truck Crash Temporarily Shut Down I-90 Near Rochester
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Among the crashes reported in the Rochester area during Wednesday’s snow event was a collision involving three semi-trucks that resulted in the temporary closure of a section of I-90.
The Rochester Fire Department sent firefighters to the scene on eastbound I-90 just east of the Highway 52 interchange near Marion around 1 PM to extricate the driver of one of the rigs. The State Patrol says the 35-year-old Arkansas woman was transported to St. Marys Hospital, while the two other truck drivers were not hurt.
The State Patrol also reported an injury crash on Highway 14 in Winona County. The report on the crash says 64-year-old Helen Bronk of Winona was eastbound on the hill just east of the St. Mary’s University campus when a pickup truck driven west by a 32-year-old Winona woman spun out and crashed into her vehicle shortly after 2 PM. The younger woman was not hurt, while Bronk was transported to the Winona Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
