Nearly $2k in Property Reported Missing After Rochester Garage Burglary
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- Rochester Police are asking residents to make sure their doors are locked after an apparent garage burglary.
Rochester Police Captain Casey Moilanen issued the reminder on Monday. It comes after a burglary was reported to police last week.
Moilanen said officers responded to the burglary in the 2600 block of Mallard Dr. Northwest on the morning of July 26. The resident reported someone had entered their garage and stole an electronic bike and several tools on the night of July 25.
Moilanen estimates the items reported stolen are valued at just under $2,000. He said the suspected burglar or burglars entered the garage through an unlocked side door.
So far no one has been arrested. Moilanen says the reported burglary serves as a reminder for Rochester residents to lock their doors and to ensure exterior doors of garages and sheds are locked.
