During the holidays finding time to relax and recharge is hard but definitely necessary. But there's a new place 90 minutes from Rochester, Minnesota that might be able to help out. It's called The Nordic Nook and it's a Scandinavian sauna and cooling pond.

Based on their Facebook page it looks like they just opened last month and it appears that it's in someone's backyard. But as soon as you get back there it's like a little mini paradise.

The cooling pond is surrounded by rocks and plants, so it looks very picturesque. It'd be a great way to cool off in the summer but it's a little intense in the winter. The other day the cooling pond was 39 degrees. Brr!

Then you've got the main reason that I would go, which is the wood-fired barrel sauna. They usually keep the sauna around 160 and 200 degrees. It can hold up to 8 people so if you have a small group you want to go with, this would be a fun outing to relax together.

There's also a yurt they have up for the winter, so when you get out of the sauna or pond you can go hang out in the yurt rather than out in the snow. There's also a fire pit, smores kits you can buy, a grill you can use (you're able to bring your own food), and games.

If you want the place all to yourself (and your group) you can book it for an hour for $100. I think it sounds like a unique and fun way to relax and have a good time.
