NWS Issues Wind Advisory For Southeastern Minnesota

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for southeastern Minnesota and a large area of eastern Iowa.
The advisory will take effect at 9 PM and will continue through 6 AM on Monday. The forecast calls for northwest winds of 20 to 30 mph to develop this evening, with gusts up to 45 mph expected.
Forecasters say the top wind gusts will be capable of blowing around unsecured objects, including holiday decorations. Some tree limbs could be blown down and there could be some scattered power outages.
They advise securing outdoor objects, including holiday decorations that could be easily dislodged. Motorists, particularly those driving high-profile vehicles, are urged to use extra caution.
