Olmsted’s unemployment rate holds steady

Not much of a change in Olmsted County’s employment report

for February compared to January’s numbers. The latest information shows the amount of unemployed workers held steady at 3700. The monthly unemployment rate also remained unchanged at 4 ½ percent. The number of workers listed as employed was put at 79,200 - up 600 from January.

All other counties in southeast Minnesota reported small or no changes in their monthly rates. Houston County had the highest February rate at 7.6 percent.
