Lake City, MN (KROC-AM News)- A man and woman were hurt after a vehicle struck a power pole then a building in Lake City

The State Patrol responded to the collision shortly before 5:30 Monday afternoon. Both the injured occupants were riding in a pickup. 

Pickup Smashes Into Power Pole and Building in Lake City, Man and Woman Injured

The collision occurred at 7240 Hwy. 61 in Lake City. The state crash report says the vehicle was traveling north on Hwy. 61 when it left the roadway and struck the power pole and building.

28-year-old Seth Ryan Meyers of La Crescent was identified as the driver and 24-year-old Makenna Jean Myers was riding with him. 

Both occupants suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital in Lake City for further care, according to the State Patrol. 

Alcohol Not Suspected

Alcohol was not a suspected factor in the crash and both occupants in the pickup were buckled up, according to the state crash report

The Lake City Police Department, Lake City Fire Department, Lake City EMS and the Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the crash.
