Mabel, MN (KROC-AM News) - The State Patrol responded this morning to a multi-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck in Fillmore County.

The preliminary crash report indicates the semi-truck was headed east on Highway 44 and collided with a pickup and an SUV that were traveling west. The crash occurred around 8 AM approximately 2 1/2 miles west of Mabel.

The State Patrol says the driver of the pickup, 77-year-old John Deloy Petersen of Mabel, was transported by ambulance to a hospital in La Crosse. His injuries were described as non-life-threatening.

The driver of the semi-truck also suffered non-life-threatening injuries, but was apparently treated at the scene. He was identified as 39-year-old Jeffrey Slowiak of Granton, Wisconsin.

The State Patrol indicated the 31-year-old Mabel woman driving the SUV was not hurt.
