
Multi-Month Road Closure Starts Friday Near Pine Island
Pine Island, MN (KROC-AM News)- A multi-month road closure gets underway Friday in the Pine Island area.

The project involves the replacement of a bridge and resurfacing work.
Motorists are being told to expect delays and to plan on taking alternative routes. The Olmsted County Department of Public Works says a detour will be in place during the road work.

County Rd. 3 South of Pine Island to Close Until August
Olmsted County Rd. 3 will be closed from County Rd. 5 to 8th St. SW in Pine Island to allow crews to resurface the county road.
The closure is to accommodate replacement of the bridge that crosses the middle fork of the Zumbro River south of Pine Island.
Detour Route to be Put in Place
County Rd. 3 motorists heading to and from Pine Island will be detoured to the east onto Hwy. 52.
Northbound travelers will connect with the freeway at the County Rd. 5 interchange and southbound motorists will be directed to Hwy. 52 via the County Rd. 11 interchange.

Olmsted County officials say the project is anticipated to be completed by August, weather permitting.
