Plea Agreement Covers Two Rochester Meth Busts
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A man described by police as being heavily involved in methamphetamine sales in Rochester has worked out a plea agreement with the Olmsted County Attorney’s Office to settle two local drug cases.
35-year-old Jeremiah Siewert today pleaded guilty to a 1st-degree drug charge and another felony count of being a convicted felon in possession of a gun. The drug charge stems from Siewert’s arrest last November after Rochester police caught him with 3 ounces of meth and $1,000 cash in his vehicle, The weapons charge was connected to a drug raid in February of last year during which police found over 200 grams of methamphetamine, $1700 cash and a gun in his vehicle. Four other felony charges, including three first degree charges, were dismissed through the plea deal.
Siewert is scheduled to be sentenced on January 29th.
