Rochester Man Arrested After Police Chase, Facing Fleeing & DWI Charges
35-year-old Sebastijan Mileusnich is charged with felony fleeing and felony DWI. The court document alleges he was driving a vehicle that ran a red light and pulled into the middle of the intersection of Civic Center Dr. and 11th Ave. NW.
A Rochester police officer on patrol reported seeing the vehicle stop in the middle of the intersection and nearly cause multiple collisions. The officer activated his squad car’s emergency lights and gestured for Mileusnich to move the vehicle.
Mileusnich then accelerated westbound out of the intersection and the officer followed, noting Mileusnich was traveling at a high rate of speed, dodging other vehicles and having difficulty staying on the road, the complaint says.

The officer reached a speed as high as 70 mph as he was trying to follow Mileusnich, the charges say.
Mileusnich made a left turn onto southbound 16th St. NW where he failed to navigate a curve, causing the suspect vehicle to hit the curb, go airborne and collide with a road sign, light pole and shrubs, according to the complaint.
The vehicle then hit a restaurant in the area, rolled then came to rest upright, the complaint says. The complaint does not name the restaurant that was hit.
Mileusnich was arrested and brought to a hospital before being transported to the Olmsted County Jail. The court document says officers were unable to perform field sobriety tests because Mileusnich was not cooperative.
Court records indicate Mileusnich has a prior felony DWI conviction in Hennepin County.
Mileusnich made his first court appearance Monday morning.
Correction: A previous version of this story said he turned onto 16th Ave. SW
