Probation For Rochester Man Convicted of Felony Sex Crime
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man who failed to show up for his sentencing hearing last week, reported to the Olmsted County Courthouse today to receive his punishment for a felony criminal sexual conduct conviction.
39-year-old Brandan Lee Albin earlier entered a guilty plea to a fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct charge. He was accused of sexually touching a 16-year-old girl in October 2022.
Rochester Police opened the investigation after the young victim spoke to her mother and she contacted law enforcement. According to the criminal complaint, Albin met with investigators about a month after the incident and claimed he was only attempting to comfort the girl, but text messages obtained by police implied that Albin was purposely engaging in sexual contact.

At his sentencing hearing this morning, Albin was ordered to serve 30 days in jail and 10 years on probation. He was also given a stayed 18 month prison sentence that could be imposed if he fails to meet the terms of his probation.
