As our second straight snowless winter rolls on, our January thaw will peak tomorrow with record highs possible across Minnesota.

Despite the lack of snow this winter, our temperatures have been closer to normal with December averaging a few degrees above normal, and January a few degrees below zero.

Despite being cooler than average for most of this month, we have been enjoying a nice January thaw this week. It's been mild, but it has also been windy. Not only will tomorrow be the warmest day of this stretch, but the wind will be much lighter as well.

It looks as though the warmer than average high temperatures will continue through the weekend, before returning to more normal highs in the 20s by Monday.
