Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Rochester Police Department is issuing another call from members of the public to step forward with information that could solve two cold case murder investigations.

This week marks the anniversaries of both unsolved homicides. 41-year-old Robert "Bobby" Volgmann was found beaten to death in his northwest Rochester apartment on April 16, 2020. 27-year-old April Sorensen was strangled and stabbed to death in her northwest Rochester home on April 17, 2007.

Rochester Police Chief Jim Franklin issued a statement today saying, "these cases remain open, and we will not stop until those responsible are brought to justice."

Chief Franklin is urging anyone with information, no matter how significant, to contact the police department.
