Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News) -  A Rochester-area man suspected of driving while impaired collided with a van Monday and after checking with its driver, left the scene. It turns out, the men are neighbors.

The incident happened around 6:45 PM in the 600 block of 75th St NW.

The Olmsted County Sheriff’s office says an SUV driven by 41-year-old David Schwartz crossed the centerline and sideswiped the other vehicle. The driver of the van suffered facial injuries when an airbag was activated and his glasses were broken. The man says Schwartz talked with him briefly and then drove off.

Deputies located Schwartz at his nearby home and after a breath test showed a blood/alcohol level of .15, he was arrested on DUI and several other charges.
