Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Medicaid fraud case has been filed against the operator of a Rochester health care business.

Five felony theft charges have been filed against 53-year-old Hamdi Aden. He was arraigned this week and ordered back to court for an evidentiary hearing in October.

According to the criminal complaint, an investigator with the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office determined Aden’s business known as Shiffo Home Health Care Corp. submitted fraudulent Medicaid claims. The investigator says the bogus claims totaled $88,000.

The alleged fraud occurred between October 2014 and February 2016.
