Rochester City Council to Begin Search For New City Attorney
The City of Rochester is looking for a new City Attorney.
Current City Attorney Jason Loos has announced his intent to resign, effective June 2nd. The Rochester City Council will be asked Monday evening to authorized staff to begin the search for his successor and appoint Micheal Spindler-Krage to serve as the interim City Attorney following Loos' departure. Spindler-Krage is currently the Deputy City Attorney and has been employed by the City Attorney's Office for over 15 years.
Loos was hired by the City of Rochester in February 2018. He came to Rochester from Portland Oregon, where he was a deputy city attorney. He succeeded the fellow University of North Dakota Law School graduate Terry Adkins, who retired three years ago as the longest-serving City Attorney in Rochester's history. Adkins held the position for more than 26 years.
