Rochester Home Struck by Multiple Bullets, Suspect At Large
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- The Rochester Police Department is investigating a weekend shooting that left several bullet holes in a southeast Rochester residence over the weekend.
Police Captain Casey Moilanen said dispatch received a call from an 18-year-old woman reporting a suspicious person walking around her home with their face covered. The call came in shortly before 11:30 Friday night.
While speaking with dispatchers, the woman then reported that she was being shot at. Moilanen said officers quickly responded to the residence in the 2300 block of Park Ln. Southeast and found the mobile home had been struck by three bullets fired by a 9mm handgun.
Moilanen said officers did not locate a shooter in the immediate area. No injuries were reported.
Investigators are working to determine a motive for the shooting. Moilanen said there was nothing to indicate why the mobile home was the target of gunfire.
