(UPDATE) Felony Charge Against Rochester Man Dropped
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man is accused assaulting, threatening and robbing a local teenager who wanted to buy some marijuana from the suspect.
The 19-year-old victim told police she met with the man in a parking lot in the Shoppes on Maine shopping center area early Sunday. The teen says when they met, the man pulled out a knife and threatened her and then punched her in the head a few times. She turned over $250 in cash and the man left.
Arrested later in the day was 21-year-old Justin Lee Peterson.
(UPDATE) - A felony charge filed against a Rochester man in June 2016 was dropped through a plea deal several months after his arrest..
As part of the agreement that resulted in the dismissal of the first-degree aggravated robbery charge, Justin Lee Peterson entered guilty pleas to a misdemeanor drug charge involving possession of marijuana and a misdemeanor theft charge.
He was sentenced to the 83 days he had already spent in jail following his arrest.
