Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man has worked out a plea deal in a child pornography case.

27-year-old Brenden Kieren Walsh was charged last May as a result of an investigation by the Rochester Police Department that was triggered by a cyber tip. It involved 20 videos of suspected Child Sexual Abuse Material that had been uploaded to a Google account in his name and associated with email addresses and phone numbers that were linked to Walsh.

The Images and Videos Depicted Children as Young as One Year Old

According to court documents, that led to the execution of a search warrant and the seizure of a cell phone that contained nearly 3000 images and videos "consistent with Child Sexual Abuse Material." The criminal complaint says investigators also determined that thousands of images and videos had been sent to other people and most of them depicted girls as young as one-year-old.

The court document says the search of Walsh's home in southeast Rochester also led to the discovery of thousands of sexually explicit images and videos of children stored in other electronic devices. It also indicates additional Child Sexual Abuse Materials were found stored on the Rochester man's Google and Facebook accounts.

It was also alleged that Walsh identified himself as a 12-year-old girl during online conversations through a private messenger application that were sexual in nature. Walsh was also accused of using the same application to send and receive child pornography.

He was charged with four counts of disseminating child pornography and six counts of possession of child pornography. Under the terms of his plea agreement, Walsh has entered guilty pleas to one count of dissemination of child pornography and two counts of possession of child pornography.

He is scheduled to be sentenced in September.
