Rochester Man Allegedly Brandished Knife While Fighting Roommate
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A fight between roommates resulted in the arrest of a Rochester man Thursday night.
A criminal complaint filed in Olmsted County Court on Friday indicates 32-year-old Lawrence Allen Oakgrove is accused of brandishing a knife and threatening to stab his roommate after the two men began fighting at a residence they share in the 1900 block of 42nd St., Northwest.

A spokesperson for the Rochester Police Department says officers responded to the residence around 9:30 PM on Thursday after the man reported that his roommate appeared to be under the influence of an unknown substance and had initiated a physical fight before threatening him with a knife.
The charges against Oakgrove indicate that he admitted to the officers that he was trying to scare his roommate by pulling a knife on him. The victim in the case reported that Oakgrove stated that he was going to "stick" him with the knife, which was found in Oakgrove's pocket when police searched him.
The court document says the altercation started after Oakgrove began yelling at the victim’s girlfriend and calling her disparaging names.
Oakgrove was arraigned in Olmsted County Court on Friday. He is charged with a felony count of terroristic threats and a gross misdemeanor domestic assault charge.
He was released without bail and was ordered to return to court for hearing on January 18.
