Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man who had a run-in with a police officer was eventually arrested - after being tased three times.

Police say some parents became concerned after seeing a man at the Soldiers Field Park playground who was watching their children Saturday evening. The man also had a 10-inch knife in a sheath attached to his belt and they decided to call 911.

An officer began talking to the man and became suspicious when he gave a false name (said it was “Hanson Hanson”). When the man began reaching for the knife the officer grabbed his wrists and the two began struggling. The officer then used his Taser on the man twice but it was not effective. The man took off running and was eventually caught by some other officers - after being tased a third time.
