Rochester man charged with terrorizing wife

A Rochester man is accused of tying up his wife and whipping her with an electrical cord, leaving her body covered with bruises

and abrasions.  Police say the brutal assault took place Sunday afternoon at the couple’s residence located in the 1500 block of 50th street northwest.  A spokesman says 29 year old Abdullahi Omar Sheikh tied up his wife and then began assaulting her over a period of two hours.  He eventually drove off with her car but was later located by police and arrested.  Formal charges were expected to be filed today.
