Rochester, MN (KROC AM News)  -  A Rochester man reported he was knocked out and robbed early Thursday.

The 44-year-old man called 911 from the Kwik Trip store at the intersection of South Broadway and 20th St around 2:00 am.

He told officers he was walking on the east side of the highway when a car pulled up and stopped. The victim said a man got out of the car and demanded his wallet. The victim said he complied and the man then hit him over the head with a “hard object.”

The man told officers he blacked out momentarily. When he came to he saw the car driving away. He described it as a gray or black Mitsubishi Eclipse model.

The man was treated at the scene by paramedics but declined a ride to the hospital.

Wow! Check out how Rochester has changed throughout the years in these Google photos.

As we are soaring down Hwy 52, it is hard to imagine what life was like in our town before the Target store was built where it is today. Or the house that you live in now, at one point in town, that wasn't there. In fact, Rochester has grown so fast throughout the years, most of our houses weren't even around 50 years ago! Don't believe me? Look through these photos to get a glimpse of what Rochester was like years ago.
