Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A man who was accused of terrorizing family members with a large knife last fall will spend up to 5-years on probation.

30-year-old Harun Ali Abdulle was also ordered to pay $5,000 in restitution. He earlier entered guilty pleas to a felony damage to property charge and a misdemeanor count of trespassing. The plea agreement resulted in the dismissal of another felony damage to property charge, two felony burglary charges, and a felony harassment charge.

Abdulle was arrested after a violent incident at his family’s home in Rochester in October. He was accused of destroying a TV and a sofa by swinging the large knife and later slashing a tire on a family member’s vehicle. The criminal complaint also alleged he phoned the apartment and threatened to “cut them up into pieces.” It was alleged he stated he would “finish them off,” while he was speaking on the phone with a police officer.
