Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Rochester man arrested as a suspect in a recent murder is no stranger to local authorities.

Court records show he was identified as a suspect in at least three incidents in the city since October. The most recent was in April when 23-year-old Ayub Iman and his brother Iman Iman were arrested as suspects in a shooting that left two people wounded. His brother was later charged with attempted murder in that case.

Both were charged in an earlier incident in April during which police say they were part of a group that chased a man inside a convenience store. Police were told the victim had been called “a snitch.” A man who intervened later told police he thought the incident had something to do with “a recent murder. “ It’s believed that was the murder of 28-year-old Garad Hassan Roble, who was found shot to death near Gamehaven Park in early March.

Ayub Iman was arraigned in that case Friday. He has also been charged as a suspect in a confrontation last October that ended in gunfire but no apparent victims.
