Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The Rochester Symphony Orchestra and Chorale Monday announced it had accepted the resignation of the group’s president.

The group had earlier placed Jeffery Amundson on paid administrative leave after the 44 year old was charged in Olmsted County Court with stealing money from a vulnerable adult who had been living in a local group home. The criminal complaint says Amundson had power of attorney and was in charge of the man’s financial affairs. An investigation found Amundson had taken more than $18,000 of the man’s money for his personal use.

Until a new president is hired, board members and staff will oversee the group’s  administrative responsibilities
