Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News) - Just as the city of Rochester wades deeper into adopting a new comprehensive plan and various DMC proposals comes word the top local government planning official has been placed on administrative leave.

When contacted for information about the status of Mitzi Baker, Olmsted County Administrator Heidi Welsch confirmed she was placed on leave and added, “ As I'm sure you are aware, we cannot comment any further on personnel questions or issues.”

Baker was named the executive director of the Rochester-Olmsted Planning Department in 2014, succeeding longtime director Phil Wheeler after he retired.
