Rochester panhandler ripped off

A Rochester woman says she was robbed of $40 while walking into the downtown Barnes and Noble store during the noon hour last Friday. The 61 year old - who was using a walker to get around - says she was entering the store when a woman grabbed the money from her hand and ran. A police spokesman says the thief is still on the loose. It’s believed she is a homeless person. The older woman told police the money came from panhandling.
