Rochester PD: Rochester Teen found With Stolen Gun, Drugs During Traffic Stop
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- Rochester Police arrested a teenage man from Rochester suspected of having a gun that was reported stolen from the Twin Cities area.

Police Captain Casey Moilanen said an officer on patrol in the area of 6th Ave. and 9th St. Southeast saw a vehicle without a front license plate around 4 p.m. on Thursday.
The officer stopped the vehicle in the 800 block of 6th Ave. Southeast.
The officer approached the vehicle and asked the driver, identified as 19-year-old Abdihalkeem Hussein, to step out of the vehicle after seeing what appeared to be a spent shell casing. The officers patted down Hussein and found a handgun, Moilanen said.
Police later determined the gun was reported stolen out of Carver County. Moilanen said officers found 3.5 grams of suspected marijuana that was not properly sealed as required by state law and 40 grams of suspected chocolate-infused mushrooms.
Hussein was arrested and taken to the Olmsted County Jail on suspicion of possession of stolen property, fifth-degree drug possession, carrying a pistol without a permit, possession of a firearm in the presence of drugs and driving without a driver’s license.
He is awaiting arraignment in Olmsted County Court.
