UPDATED: Rochester Pedestrian Hit By Vehicle Near Law Enforcement Center
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man suffered serious injuries after being hit by a car Tuesday.
Police say the 36-year-old was on the south side of 4th St SE near the Holiday convenience store around 9:30 pm. He was apparently trying to cross to the north side of the street when he was hit by a car that was driving east in the right-hand lane.
The man was unconscious but breathing when first responders arrived. He had regained consciousness before he was taken to the hospital.
The man suffered a broken leg, a broken arm and possible head injuries and was in the intensive care unit at last report.
The car was driven by a 22-year-old Rochester man who told police he did not see the pedestrian before he was struck. The driver said he was not distracted and police say he showed no signs of impairment.
