Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News) -  A 20-second crime may have netted Rochester thieves thousands of dollars in stolen cell phones.

Rochester police were contacted around 2:00 AM Thursday about an alarm that had been activated at the Verizon store near Target North. Officers were told by the security company a surveillance camera showed there were four males in the business.

After grabbing phones and other electronic items, they fled. The smash-and-dash lasted about 20 seconds.

The thieves gained entrance to the store by smashing the glass in the front door.

As of 6:00 AM, there was no estimate of the stolen goods.  Police are hoping to use the video to identify the suspects.
