Rochester Police Arrest Man Wielding Knife
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester police say a dispute involving a $30 debt led to the arrest of a Rochester man on a felony assault charge yesterday.
A spokesman says officers responded to the 1900 block of 8 1/2 Street Southeast around 3 PM after receiving reports of a man chasing a younger man in a parking lot and threatening him with a knife. The younger man was the 18-year-old nephew of 49-year-old Gene Johnson and had gone to his uncle in hopes of collecting the money he was owed.
Johnson is expected to be charged with 2nd-degree assault and felony terroristic threats.
