
Rochester Police Confirm Sunday Night Shooting Incident

Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester police have confirmed there was a shooting in the northeast part of the city Sunday night.
When officers were first called to check, no evidence was found.
Police Capt. Casey Moilanen says numerous calls were received around 10:00 pm Sunday from people who heard several shots fired in the area of the 300 block of 27th St NE.
Officers searched there as well as the nearby Bowlocity Entertainment Center but found no sign of property damage or spent shell casings.
Moilanen says an officer returned to the area Monday and did find evidence of a shooting - three vehicles that were in a parking lot had been hit by a total of eight rounds.
Moilanen says it’s not known if the vehicles had been targeted or if a person who had been near them was fired at.
