Rochester Police Respond to Two Weekend Drug Overdoses, One Fatal
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- The Rochester Police Department responded to two drug overdoses over the weekend, one of which resulted in the death of a Rochester man.
Police Sgt. Tony Teal said the first overdose of the weekend was reported shortly after 1:30 Saturday morning in the 200 block of 18th Ave. Southwest. Police were called to the residence by a roommate of the overdose victim.
Teal said the 35-year-old overdose victim was pronounced dead and that there was evidence of drug use at the scene. Investigators are awaiting the results of an autopsy.

The second reported drug overdose occurred about 20 minutes after midnight on Sunday in the 400 block of 31st St. Northeast. Responding officers found an unresponsive 25-year-old male at the scene.
They administered Naran to the man. Teal said he was then taken by ambulance to St. Mary’s Hospital for further treatment.
An update on the man’s condition was not available Monday morning, but Teal said the Rochester Police Department would’ve likely been notified had the man died from the overdose.
