Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -  Customers of Rochester Public Transit may soon have a new option.

RPT is asking the City Council to approve a new 90-day transit pass for its
fixed route system.

The cost would be $120.

RPT currently offers non-student riders several options, including a 30 day ($42) and a 365 day ($480) period pass. Shorter passes are available at 10 rides ($16) and 20 rides ($26). A single ride costs $2.

RPT says the new pass will allow a rider to decide exactly when to begin the 90 day period as it won’t become active until its initial use.

The Council is scheduled to vote on the request at its Wednesday meeting.
