Rochester Salvation Army to Hold ‘Thank You’ Breakfast
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Rochester Salvation Army is inviting every member of the Rochester community to breakfast on Saturday.
The "Heads to Toes" Thank You Breakfast was organized to celebrate the local Salvation Army's highly successful 2019 Red Kettle Christmas campaign and to thank the Rochester community for its support. The fundraising goal was $950,000 and the effort brought in a record-setting donation total of nearly $1.2 million.
"The Salvation Army is beyond grateful to this community for their incredible generosity this year,” said Major Bob Mueller, Corps Officer of The Salvation Army, “From Mayo Clinic doing a massive match right before Christmas, to all the amazing businesses, churches, schools, and other groups that took part in the campaign, to the volunteers that drove, counted, and rang bells, we really saw this community come together this year, and we are so excited to see all the good we’ll be able to do for people in 2020.”
Pancakes and other classic American breakfast foods will be served at the Rochester Army Headquarters from 7 until 11 AM.
Anyone that participated in the campaign as a donor or volunteer is welcome to attend for free, while other community members are being asked to bring a donation of insulated gloves, hats, or socks for those in need.
