Rochester School District Enrollment Slightly Below Projections

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Rochester School Board was briefed tonight on the school district’s official headcount for the 2019-2020 school year.

As of October 1st, total enrollment in the Rochester Public Schools was 18,162. That’s 134 higher than the figure reported on October 1st of last year but is a bit lower than the predicted enrollment tally predicted by the school district’s most recent projection issued in February. It forecast a rise of about 250 students.

The official enrollment, which is used by the state to calculate the school district’s per-pupil funding, was also down from the opening day estimated headcount of 18,337 students.
