Each year, Rochester high schools spend the month of December collecting donations for local non-profit organizations. Each school has its own theme for the RPS Gives campaign - Century has Bear Creek Week, John Marshall has JM Gives, and Mayo's theme is Give One For All. Funds raised go to support Bear Creek Services, Paws and Claws, Christmas Anonymous, Dorothy Day Hospitality House, and the Rochester Women's Shelter.

Superintendent Michael Muñoz said RPS students typically raise over $100,000 for these charities each year. Muñoz applauded the students' efforts during this challenging year in a press release sent out on Monday morning, “I am proud of our students, staff, and our families that have shown resiliency and creativity to adapt to new ways to encourage and support our local non-profits.” Despite the challenging year, students are hopeful and are working hard to make this year's event just as big. To learn more about RPS Gives and to make a donation, click here.

The Rochester students say they hope you can help them bring some joy to our community and they thank everyone for their support and generosity.
