Sallet's broadcasting story begins in Rochester, Minnesota at an unbelievably early hour. A tired but excited Adam Sallet showed up to be an intern on the Dunken and Samm show on KROC.

Studying at Rochester Community and Technical College and the University of Minnesota, he landed a job as a news producer at KIMT in Mason City. Over six years at KIMT, he became a well-known and beloved reporter in The Med City.
