Rochester Woman Struck by City Bus
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester woman is recovering at St. Marys Hospital after being hit by a bus.
Police Sgt. Bert Otto says the woman was walking across 14th Ave SW when she was struck by the Rochester Public Transit bus as it was making a left turn from Memorial Parkway just before 8:30 PM Thursday.
The woman - 58-year-old Susan Einspahr - suffered a head injury. She was reported in fair condition Friday morning.
There were several passengers on the bus, which was driven by 55-year-old Dennis Peins.
Otto says there was no lighting in the area when the woman was hit and it was very dark. The site is north of Apache Mall.
