Rochester Woman Victim Of Late Night Purse Snatching
Rochester, MN(KROC AM News) - A Rochester woman says she was the victim of a purse snatching Wednesday.
The 60-year-old says the robbery happened while she was parking her vehicle in the lot at the Village on 3rd complex in the 500 block of 3rd Ave SE around 10:00 pm.
The woman says after she got out of her car, a man walked up, grabbed her and began shaking her. The woman says the man then grabbed her purse and fled. She was shaken up but not hurt. The woman began yelling and someone who heard her called 911.
She told police the purse contained her bank cards, driver's license and $60 - $70 in cash.
The woman described the thief as African-American, in his mid-20s, 5-10 and with a thin build.
